Ticking noise sample

Cause
Variable switching frequencies in the high-voltage on-board electrical system can cause vibrations that lead to noise
complaints on the HV-PTC N33/16 (air heater).

Remedy
Perform the following steps:

1.

Compare the noise with the attached example. If the noise matches the example, proceed to step 2; otherwise,
create a TIPS case.

2.

Check whether SNR A1748354600 is installed. (Quick test → N33/16 → Hardware): If SNR A1748354600 is installed, proceed to step 3; otherwise, create a TIPS case.

3.

Hardware replacement of the HV-PTC N33/16 air heater – install a new part with the current item number as per
XPPI.
