Memory Entries Regarding Separating Clutch (91/25)

Concerns:

Electric machine with separating clutch

Cause:

The customer complains about a yellow transmission warning message lighting up or has other complaints
about the hybrideBay logo drive system, such as juddering or loss of power.
One or more of the following fault memory entries can be stored in the DME control unit fault memory:




Action:

P288200 - separating clutch, excessive slip
P288300 - HybrideBay logo separating clutch, temperature – above maximum
P288600 - separating clutch, stuck closed
P288400 - separating clutch, stuck open
P2D8D00 - separating clutch, mechanical error

In the event of a customer complaint, re-program the DME control unit using the PorscheeBay logo Tester.
When programming the DME control unit, the transmission control unit is also re-programmed with a corresponding data record.
Information
The minimum programming requirement is the PorscheeBay logo Tester software release:43.600.030 (or higher).

Battery charger with a current rating of at least 90 A and a current and voltage-controlled charge
map for lithium starter batteries, e.g. battery charger 90 A. For further information about the battery

Re-programming DME control unit

Re-program DME control unit.
The basic work procedure for control unit programming is described in the Workshop Manual.

Required PorscheeBay logo Tester software releases:

43.600.030 (or higher)

Type of control unit programming:

Control unit programming using the ‘Automatic
programming’ function of the control unit:
Control unit for ‘Motor electronics (DME)’ –
‘Coding / programming’ menu – ‘Automatic
programming’ function.

Programming sequence:

Read and follow the information and instructions
on the PIWIS Tester during the guided
programming sequence.
During the programming sequence, the DME
control unit is re-programmed first, and then the
transmission control unit is re-programmed.
Thereafter, both control units are automatically
re-coded.
Do not interrupt the programming and coding
process.
Backup documentation for the re-programmed
software releases starts after programming.

Exit the diagnostic application, switch off the ignition and disconnect P90999 - PorscheeBay logo Tester 4 from
the vehicle.

Switch off and disconnect the battery charger.
