Customer states:

The customer complains that the air conditioning system is not working. The AC button automatically deactivates
itself shortly after it has been pressed.

Workshop findings:

The complaint can be reproduced in the workshop. The event memory entry “B16A1F0 - Refrigerant Shut-Off
Valve, icing - water load too high” is logged in diagnostic address 00C5 (thermal management).

Technical Background

Software issue in diagnostic address 00C5 (thermal management).

Production Solution
Audi A5: introduction into production in week 10/2025.

Service

This TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) TSB 2079225, 87 PSS Air conditioning system does not work,
AC button automatically deactivates itself immediately.

Please check whether TSB 2079690, 00 Combined software update 03.10.00/C (28.13.01) KD2 is visible for this
vehicle. If this is the case, please perform the software update described in TSB 2079690.

Manual. Claims are subject to review or audit by Audi Warranty.

When performing the combined software update, time stamps are not required for billing under warranty. You are
therefore permitted to work on other vehicles at the same time. The combined software update can also be
performed by non-productive personnel.
