A customer may experience a rumbling noise from the rear of the vehicle when driving. This noise
may be most noticeable at full steering angle and low speeds.
Listen to the attached sound file, TJ-37141_1.mp, as an example of this noise. (The noise is heard at 5
and 26 seconds in the recording)

Note: Follow this journal and the steps below before replacing any parts.
1.
Perform a TVDC oil change according to VIDA instructions. (VST Operation No 46564-2 and
36050-2).
2. Perform the script “Reconditioning of the Torque Vectoring Friction Plates” and test drive
according to VIDA instructions.
Path to script: Planning and Diagnostics / Components / ECUs / Torque Vectoring Rear Left (TVRL)
/ Diagnostic Sequences / Reconditioning of the torque vectoring friction plates. (VST Operation No
36060-3)
If the rumbling noise still occurs after completing the script (VST Op No 36100-3), continue to step 3.
3. Replace the TVDC according to VIDA. (VST Operation No 31130-2, 26151-3, 46562-2, 36060-3, and
36060-3).

Please note that fault tracing is not eligible for separate reimbursement under this TJ. Any fault tracing
