Customer Statement:

* The MIL or exhaust emissions warning light is displayed int eh instrument cluster after starting the engine. The
engine speed may be noticeably low in isolated cases.

Or

* There is no customer complaint, and the DTC specified in the workshop findings is found in the ECM in
connection with a different complaint.

Workshop Findings:

The following DTC or DTCs and symptom code(s) is/are logged in the Engine Control Module -J623-, (address word
0001):

* DTC P050600: Idle Speed Control, RPM below spec value, symptom code 4008 static/ intermittent

Technical Background

Software issue in the engine control unit (diagnostic address 0001) and in the main control unit for drive system and
running gear systems (HCP1, diagnostics address 812C).

This bulletin replaces Pending Service Solution TSB 2078915, 07 M/L on, DTC PO50600 Stored in ECM - V6 TFSI.

Please check whether TSB 2079690, 00 Combined software update 03.10.00/C (28.13.01) KD2 is visible for this
vehicle. If this is the case, please perform the software update described in TSB 2079690.

When performing the combined software update, time stamps are not required for billing
under warranty. You are therefore permitted to work on other vehicles at the same time.
The combined software update can also be performed by non-productive personnel.

Additional Information

The complaint does not occur during normal vehicle operation. Generally, a low charge level occurs during extended
stationary periods during the transportation process or while the vehicle is at the workshop.
