Summary
This PI communicates an issue where the Brake System Control Module DTC: U0028-88 and U0037-88 diagnostics are backwards and follow the diagnostic procedure for U0037 if U0028 is set and vice versa.

Some technicians may encounter a DTC: U0028 symptom 88 and/or U0037 symptom 88
set in the K160 Brake System Control Module
Cause
If a technician encounters DTC U0028 sym88 and/or U0037 sym88 during diagnostic
testing, these codes may report to the incorrect diagnostic path due to a software
anomaly within the K160 Brake System Control Module.
Correction
A SW update is planned to be released for this issue in Q1 of 2026.
In the interim, if a technician encounters either U0028-88 or U0037-88 during diagnostic testing, they should utilize
the opposite DTC diagnostic procedure in SI.
If the vehicle has U0028-88 then use the diagnostic for U0037-88
If the vehicle has U0037-88 then use the diagnostic for U0028-88
This PI will be updated once the SW has been released into SPS.
