The 2.0L MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control) engine balances

maximum HP of 148 with low fuel consumption. The SEL model features even more

power with a 2.4L version of the MIVEC.
TRANSMISSION/DRIVE SYSTEM

All models equipped with All Wheel Control (AWC) have 4WD control logic that protects

the drive-train by suppressing heat generation of the electronic-control coupling and

provides extraordinary traction and stability in all driving conditions.
CONVENIENCE/TECHNOLOGY

8" Smartphone Link Display Audio system is a standard feature.

7-Airbag System

The Outlander Sport comes with seven airbags: driver and front passenger side, frontseat mounted, side-curtain, and a seventh airbag fitted underneath the driver's side

dashboard.
Active Stability Control (ASC)

Active Stability Control closely monitors the vehicle's tire grip and helps maintain

control of the vehicle using the anti-lock brake system (ABS), traction control,

and stability control.
Rain Sensing Wipers

At the first detected drop of rain, standard rain-sensing windshield wipers

automatically adjust to match the rainfall - offering instantly enhanced visibility.
RISE Body Construction

Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) technology in the Outlander Sport helps

divert energy away from vehicle occupants in the event of a collision.

SAFETY FEATURES (Continued)

Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) with Pedestrian Detection

FCM uses the front radar and camera to monitor in the front of the vehicle and alerts

the driver if an obstacle is detected. The system will apply the brakes to avoid a

potential collision..
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

LDW system continuously monitors your lane position and provides an audible and

visual alert if it detects the vehicle is unintentionally drifting.
Automatic High Beam (AHB)

This convenient feature automatically dims the headlights to reduce glare for drivers

ahead of you or if vehicles in ongoing lanes are detected.
