NLiPPERT PUMP REPLACEMENT
Purpose
This document outlines the procedure for installing a low flow pump on a 4 point leveling system.
Safety
Read all instructions and safety labels before beginning any component replacement.
Resources Required
* 2025061422 - Gear pump/label replacement kit
- Bleed valve with ¥g" quick disconnect
> 4mm Allen key
» Electric or cordless drill or screw gun
* Appropriate sockets
* Appropriate drive bits
* Wood blocks
Procedure
All jacks must be fully retracted and free of load before
loosening any hydraulic connections or disconnecting
power.
NOTE: To prevent damage to the hydraulic power unit,
perform this procedure only in a clean workspace free of
contaminants.
NOTE: Disconnect the battery at its source before beginning this
procedure.
Fully retract all jacks. Extend front landing gear jacks 4" and
attach bleed valve to the retract side quick disconnect (Fig. 1A). Fastener Locations
Retract front landing gear jacks completely and open bleed
valve inside a suitable bottle or container.
Remove the hydraulic power unit (Fig. 1) from its mounting
location in the unit.

4. Label the forward and reverse motor leads (Fig. 2A) and disconnect them from the dual polarity
solenoid (Fig. 2B).
5. Disconnect the two hydraulic fittings (Fig. 3A) from the pump.
6. Plug the retract (black) hose with the proper fitting to prevent loss of fluid.
NOTE: Place a towel or small container under fittings to catch excess fluid.
7. Remove the two 3/8" bolts on the back of the hydraulic power unit (Fig. 4A) and remove the motor and
reservoir from the hydraulic power unit (Fig. 5).
A CAUTION
Pump is full of fluid. Use caution when performing steps 6 and 7. Keep the reservoir upright to
minimize any loss of fluid.

8. Note and/or mark the orientation of the reservoir relative to the pump assembly.
9. Remove the four 8 mm bolts connecting the reservoir to the motor (Fig. 6A) and loosen the hose clamp (Fig. 6B).
10. Remove the motor and pump assembly from the reservoir (Fig. 7).
11. Unscrew and remove the hydraulic fluid pickup tube using the plastic hex nearest to the pump (Fig. 8A).
12. Note and/or mark the orientation of the pump on the pump assembly.
13. Remove the two 4 mm Allen head screws from the pump (Fig. 9A).

14. Remove the pump from the motor (Fig. 10).
NOTE: Low-flow pumps are marked CB-E0.63ST. Normal pumps are marked CB-E0.88ST (Fig. 11).

15. Before installing the low- pump, make sure that the four o-rings (Fig. 12A) are in place.
16. Ensure the flats of the gear pump shaft (Fig. 12B) align with the flats inside the pump assembly.
17. Install the low-flow pump onto the motor using the two 4 mm Allen head screws removed in step 8 (Fig. 13)
and torque to 24 in-Ib.
NOTE: When reinstalling the hydraulic fluid pickup tube (Fig. 8), do not overtighten.
NOTE: Gear pump should mount flush to the center section of the pump assembly. Ensure there is no gap
between the two components before installing fasteners.

Reinstall the pump/motor assembly to the reservoir using the previously removed 8 mm bolts.
Tighten the hose clamp (Fig. 14A).
Remove the pump label sticker (Fig. 14B) and apply the new pump label sticker included in kit.
Refit the pump to the hydraulic bracket assembly.
Remount the hydraulic power unit to the unit wall. Use wood blocks as required to support the
hydraulic power unit at the correct height.
Remove the plug from the retract hose. Reattach and tighten both hoses onto the pump assembly.
Reattach and tighten both motor leads in the same orientation that they were disconnected.
Check fluid level and fill as required. See Page 6 for a list of recommended hydraulic fluids.
Reconnect power and cycle the disconnect switch. Cycle the leveling jacks and check for leaks.

NuiPPERT PUMP REPLACEMENT
Recommended Hydraulic Fluids
DO NOT use ATF Type F fluid. Type F ATF is not compatible with Lippert
hydraulic system seals.
Seals will not work properly.
The following automatic transmission fluid (ATF) recommendations for use in Lippert
hydraulic systems are
based upon hydraulic system operation in various environmental air temperatures.
Hydraulic system operation in climates at or below 40 degrees F (4 degrees C) may result in the following:
¢ Slow operation during extension/retraction
* Incomplete retraction of jacks during Auto Retract procedure
NOTE: A visual inspection of the jacks in the retract position is recommended after completing Auto Retract.
1. Above Freezing - Operation at air temperatures routinely above 0 °C (32 °F)—above freezing—which
also covers most initial OEM fills.
