20. When ALL programming is complete, click the ‘Finish’ button, and perform the following to allow the modules
to synchronize with each other:
e Disconnect the USB Link at the diagnostic port.

Turn the vehicle keyswitch OFF and wait one minute.

Turn the vehicle keyswitch ON (key ON, engine OFF) and wait one minute.

Turn the vehicle keyswitch OFF and wait one minute.

Turn the vehicle keyswitch ON (key ON, engine OFF) and wait one minute.

Reconnect the USB Link, reconnect DiagnosticLink to the powertrain modules, and confirm the proper

software levels.

e Update the server by clicking ‘Program Device’, ‘Unit Data Management’, and ‘Connect to Server’.

NOTE: Document the number of modules that required programming for warranty purposes.

Important: ALL units in the campaign require emission label replacement. Software needs to meet requirements in
table 4 prior to label installation.

21. Remove and replace the emission label from the engine rocker cover based on the engine serial number listing
included with this Field Service Campaign. Note that the old label is designed to come off in pieces during
removal from the engine.

22. Fill out the attached Certified Emission Label Check Sheet and attach the pieces of the old label to the check
sheet. For verification, attach an image of the form with the removed label, to the claim in OWL. See figure 8.
