CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Technicians may find the following:
● An incorrect spare tire rim or non-compliant spare tire rim assembly.

CAUSE:

Non-compliant spare tire rim assembly

This bulletin supersedes Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 22-001-25, date of issue July 26, 2025, which
should be removed from your files. All revisions are highlighted with **asterisks** and include an
updated/new vehicle build date.
This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-151,
date of issue July 26, 2025. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service
action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/Service Library.
All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty.

This bulletin involves inspecting the spare tire aluminum rim and possibly replacing the spare tire assembly.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customers VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list
exhibits any of the symptom listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Inspect the spare tire aluminum rim to verify it is the correct looking rim Fig. 1.
NOTE: The correct spare tire aluminum rim will not have windows or cut outs, in the middle of
each spoke Fig. 1 and the correct tire size will be 225/60R17 Fig. 2.

2. Did the vehicle have the correct aluminum spare tire rim installed Fig. 1?
● YES >>> This bulletin does not apply. Use Inspection LOP (22-40-01-9J) to close the active RSU.
● NO >>> Proceed to Step 3.
3. Replace the aluminum spare tire rim and tire.
NOTE: After applying this TSB, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A.
