CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Customers may comment on the following:
● The passenger easy entry/exit seat does not work. (Two-Door Equipped Vehicles Only).

CAUSE:

Vented seat motor fastener interference with easy entry/exit strap stiffener

REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves modifying the vented seat motor connector fastening.

If the customer describes any of the symptoms listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the
Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Gain access to the right front seat back vented seat motor wire harness connector:
● If equipped with high back seats, remove the right front seat back panel. Refer to the detailed service
procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 23 - Body / Seats /
Panel, Seat Back / Removal.
● If equipped with low back seats, unzip the right front seat back trim.
2. Locate the vented seat motor wire harness connector.
3. Does the vented seat motor wire harness connector have two fasteners connecting it to the seat frame Fig.
1?
● YES>>> Proceed to Step 4.
● NO>>> Proceed to Step 5.

4. Using side cutters or an equivalent tool, cut the second fasteners shank so that it no longer protrudes from
the seat frame that the connector is secured to Fig. 2.

5. Secure the right front seat back cover to the seat back:
● If equipped with high back seats, install the right front seat back panel. Refer to the detailed service
procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 23 - Body / Seats /
Panel, Seat Back / Installation.
● If equipped with low back seats, fully zip the right front seat back trim.
