This Rapid Update provides instructions for inspecting the front brake pad sensor wiring harness
on affected Grecale vehicles. In certain cases, incorrect harness positioning may lead to false
brake pad wear warnings.
VEHICLES INVOLVED: Grecale (M182) MY24 MY25
On some Grecale vehicles, the front brake pad wear sensor harness may, under certain
circumstances, come into contact with nearby components. This can lead to abrasion of the
protective sheath, exposing the wiring.

If contact occurs, a false brake pad wear warning may be triggered.
This does not affect the actual condition of the brake pads but may cause customer
concern or unnecessary service visits.
We remind you that all the Rapid Updates must be performed within the first workshop visit,
regardless of the Mandatory setting set in Modis, as required by Maserati policies.
Also, for vehicles in Stock Dealer / PDI, it is necessary to carry out all action operations before
delivery to the end customer, as required by the White Book and explicitly reported in the Predelivery checklist.

Visually inspect the sensor wiring and protective sheath.
If intact → No action required, vehicle can be released.
If damaged or pinched → Replace the front brake pads (Pad Kit) following the workshop manual.
Technical Procedure
1. Always check ModisCS+ to see if the vehicle is involved in this action and if it has not been
previously performed.
2. Disconnect the battery
• Follow Workshop Manual Op. Code 8.20.001.
3. Remove the front wheels
• Right Front Wheel Rim – Op. Code 6.00.001
• Left Front Wheel Rim – Op. Code 6.00.002
4. Locate the pad wear sensor cable
• Move the hub carrier if necessary to gain access.
5. Inspect the wiring and sheath.
• Ensure the cable is not caught in the clamp or pinched near the fixing screw.
• Carefully check the condition of the protective sheath.

6. If no damage is found
• No further action is needed.
• Reassemble the vehicle and release it.
7. If wiring is pinched or the sheath is damaged
• Replacement of the entire front brake pad set is required.
8. Remove and replace both front brake pads
• Follow Workshop Manual procedure 4.10.005 – Front Pad Set Replacement.

9. Reinstall sensor wiring correctly
• Route wiring correctly when installing new pads.
• Ensure the harness is not pinched by the clamp screw.
10. Secure the wiring harness
• Fit the harness inside the brake caliper groove.
• Ensure the connector is fully engaged.

11. Reassemble removed components
• Restore all parts in reverse order of disassembly.
12. Confirm completion
• Check for proper operation.
• Vehicle can be released.
