Subject: Instrument cluster calibration update

Dear Dealer / Service Centre / Authorised Workshop,
As part of the ongoing research, monitoring and improvement process of the technical solutions
used by the models in question, we hereby announce the availability of a new update of the
instrument cluster calibration that introduces a new discharge valve control strategy that avoids
the possibility of false diagnoses.

We remind you that the P.A.D.S. must be updated to the latest release available, which
happens automatically every 2 hours if connected to a data network.
The operation referred to above is to be included in the normal maintenance activities to be
carried out at the same time as the pre-delivery, during the activities scheduled for services, or
on the first convenient passage in the Workshop for vehicles in circulation.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER: The main content of the update is:
•

Introduction of a new discharge valve (exhaust valve) control strategy that avoids the
possibility of false diagnoses.

Once the update has been successfully completed, carry out the following:
•

a "Power latch" (key OFF, 60 seconds, key ON);

•

Adjust the discharge valve according to the instructions in the electrical system chapter,
discharge valve section of the workshop manual;

•

Access the vehicle ECU menu and delete possible errors.

Note:
If the calibration update fails, enter a technical help desk ticket.
