A/C COMPRESSOR PULLEY INSPECTION & REPLACEMENT GUIDELINES

This TSB supersedes TSB 24-HA-003H to expand the vehicle production date range and
update information for ordering additional special service tool (SST) units.
Description: Certain 2020-2025MY Palisade (LX2) vehicles may experience reduced A/C
performance due to an out of specification A/C compressor pulley and hub assembly. Follow the
procedure outlined in this bulletin to inspect and determine whether to replace the compressor
assembly or only the pulley using the service kit.

(WTC) parts return process. Claim is subject to debit if the part is not returned (bold last sentence).
NOTE 5: If a part is found in need of replacement while performing this TSB and the affected part is
still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair order. If the affected part is out of
warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration prior to performing the work.
Service Procedure:

NOTICE
Applying the recommended torque to all fasteners is essential to reduce potential issues from
occurring after the service procedure.

Raise the vehicle on a lift and remove the
engine compartment undercover (A) by
removing the fasteners and bolts.

Rotate the disc and hub assembly (B) to check
for bearing movement drag.

If the center hub (B) CANNOT be rotated
or there is excessive internal drag, replace
the A/C compressor following the shop
manual.

If the center hub (B) can be rotated or
there is pulley degradation (C), then follow
the steps in this bulletin to install the
service kit.

Remove the drive belt (D) by turning the auto
tensioner pulley counterclockwise to release
the belt tensioner (E).

SST 09977-3R000.

Disconnect the connector and harness (G)
from the compressor.

Remove the compressor assembly mounting
bolts (H) and disconnect the clutch magnetic
coil connector (I).

position it diagonally to secure a larger working

magnetic coil.

Assemble the removed bracket (O) onto the
new clutch magnetic coil assembly.

Assemble the new clutch magnetic coil (P) into
the compressor groove.

Reinstall parts in reverse order of removal.
