SERVICE:
Do not replace the ISGM. The ISGM is a messenger to detect issues in the 48 volt system.
The DTCs listed above are related to the 48-volt system and are not an indication of a fault with the
ISGM hardware.
Several ISGM units that were replaced for these DTCs have been sent to the supplier for analysis
with no fault found on all units.
Please follow the steps below:
NOTE: If the car has DTCs for other units that match customer complaints, perform fault tracing on
those DTCs before proceeding.
1. Check if the car has the latest software version installed. If not, perform a Total Upgrade
according to the TJ 31543.
2. If no newer software was available/downloaded, delete the DTCs and let the car go to sleep for
10+ minutes.
3. Perform a 48-volt system check with VIDA to see if the following units are active: ISGM,
MVBM, MVCM, VCU1, CEM, ECM.
4. If a fault is found on any of the units, perform necessary fault tracing according to VIDA.
5. If no fault is found, test-drive the vehicle and check if the DTC(s) reoccur.
6. If the DTC(s) reoccur, perform necessary fault tracing according to VIDA.
7. If the issue is not solved after above steps, follow the instructions under the Vehicle Report
section.
8. If no faults are found with the above steps, the vehicle can be released.
