Introduction

On May 15, 2025, Allison Transmission released BCKN 261 software to address the items below. If the vehicle is

exhibiting any of the complaints or issues mentioned, please follow the outlined service procedure.
Description of Complaint

Certain Hyundai vehicles equipped with both Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and pre-261 Transmission Control

Module (TCM) software have an increased risk of the vehicle unintentionally setting DTC P2637 Torque

Management Feedback Signal — SEM.

If DTC P2637 is present, please follow the troubleshooting steps.
New Allison DOC®

1.
Confirm the current TCM software level by connecting the TCM to Allison DOC. The TCM INFORMATION

tab shows the Calibration (CAL) ID as shown in Figure 1. The first four digits indicate the current software

level. If it is B261 or later, an update is not required. If it is B251 or prior, an update is required to resolve

the issue.

Use FLASH DOWNLOAD MANAGER to update the software to B261 or later. Input the TCM serial

number as the Calibration Value and check the box next to Download Latest Calibration. Click ADD (refer

to Figure 2).

After programming is complete, use Allison DOC to verify that the first four digits of the CAL ID are B261

or later (refer to Figure 3).

Former Allison DOC

1.
In the former Allison DOC program, confirm the current TCM software level by connecting the TCM to

Allison DOC. The CAL ID is shown under the DTC AND GENERAL INFORMATION tab. The first four

digits indicate the current software level. If it is B261 or later, an update is not required. If it is B251 or

prior, an update is recommended.

Use TCM REFLASH to update the software to B261 or later. Input the TCM serial number as the

calibration value and check the box next to Download Latest Calibration. Click ADD (refer to Figure 5).

whichever is relevant on your Repair Order Open Date. If the transmission no longer has an active coverage, this

action will not be covered by warranty.

Include a screenshot of the Allison DOC DTC and General Information page, showing the TCM serial number and

CAL ID fields prior to updating the calibration as shown in Figure 1.
