Cause:

In the affected vehicles, a grease that does not meet the required specifications was used to grease the
transmission input shaft.
This means that corrosion cannot be ruled out on the transmission input shaft over the service life of the
vehicle.

Action:

Rework transmission input shaft.

Remove the transmission.

Clean transmission input shaft and hub of the dual-mass flywheel or clutch hub with isopropanol and a
clean cloth, and completely remove the old grease.
