SYMPTOM:
Customers may experience one or more of the following:
● Wiper blades that chatter/streak/jump/skip/smear or make noise while traveling across the windshield.
CAUSE:
Dirty or contaminated wiper blade elements
This bulletin supersedes Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 23-006-25 REV. A, date of issue February 26,
2025, which should be removed from your files. All revisions are highlighted with **asterisks** and
include updated and additional vehicle years and Market Note.
DISCUSSION:
This Information Only TSB is to communicate due to environmental conditions vehicles can be operated in,
a film which can build up on both the windshield and the windshield wiper blade elements that will cause
poor cleaning/streaking of the windshield, and in some instances, a chattering condition as the wiper blade
elements travel across the windshield.
NOTE: Windshield wiper blades are frequently replaced unnecessarily. Replacement of the wiper
blades is normally NOT required to correct streaking/chattering issues.
If a vehicle exhibits a wiper blade condition listed above, perform the following:
1. Carefully inspect the wiper blade elements. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerCONNECT
> Service Library> under: 08 - Electrical / 8R - Wipers/Washers / Inspection. If none of the above issues
are present, clean the glass and wiper blade elements. Proceed to Step 2.
2. Use a soft cloth, sponge or squeegee and glass cleaner P/N 04318014AC or equivalent, clean the
windshield and wiper blade elements. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerCONNECT >
Service Library> under: 08 - Electrical / 8R - Wipers/Washers / Cleaning.
3. Return the wiper blades to their normal operating position and operate the washer system. If the
wiper blades/elements are not streaking the windshield or chattering, do not replace the blade
assemblies. If the wipe pattern is still objectionable, repeat Step 2 several times. If the wipe pattern is
still objectionable or noisy, replace the wiper blades/elements.
NOTE: Be sure that the vehicles wiper blades are the original Mopar part. Any aftermarket, nonOEM, parts should be not replaced under the vehicle warranty.
