Introduction to the new
Maserati Grecale Folgore Update

We are pleased to introduce you the new arrival in Maserati.
Developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena, the Grecale Folgore is the first fully electric SUV
of the Trident company.
Folgore is the name that identifies the Trident electric range and represents innovation, luxury, functional
beauty and that vision that unites past and future in the name of Maserati's incomparable style.
The new Grecale Folgore will be available in a single version, capable of releasing power of up to 400kW
and equipped with a 105kWh battery.
This letter sets out some important guidelines for the technical management of the new Maserati Grecale
Folgore. For further details and general information regarding the entire Folgore range, please, refer to
the dedicated bulletin MAS003876 and its subsequent revisions.

1 Vehicle receiving and periodic battery checks
Maintenance requirements for Folgore (BEV) vehicles differ significantly from those of internal
combustion engine (ICE) models.
All relevant procedures are outlined in the dedicated In-Stock Maintenance bulletin (refer to
bulletin MAS004488 MCL 25-15 MGNT And MAINT Of Instock Vehicles and its latest revisions). For
BEV Standards Compliance
Maserati dealers are required to meet BEV service standards, including:

Dedicated work areas for high-voltage vehicles
Properly trained and certified EV technicians

For complete details, refer to the Folgore Range Introduction Bulletin (MAS003876 and updates) as
well as applicable local safety and regulatory guidelines.
High Voltage Battery Charge status monitoring
As indicated in the circular letter MAS004488 MCL 25-15 MGNT And MAINT Of Instock Vehicles OR
NEWER, checking the charge of the high voltage battery must be carried out at regular intervals
and recorded in a specific log, reported in the circular letter itself.

1.1 Vehicle Receiving Inspection:
Upon receiving the vehicle, perform a thorough inspection to ensure:
• No visible damage
• No fluid leaks
• No signs of burns or smoke
• No warning lights or electrical faults present on the instrument cluster

Rear Suspension Spacer Notice (Grecale Folgore Only)
Some Grecale Folgore vehicles may arrive with rear suspension spacers installed for transport
protection. These vehicles can be identified by a windscreen sticker.

Important:
Do not move the vehicle with spacers installed, as this may cause suspension damage. Spacers
must be removed immediately upon vehicle acceptance.
Spacer Removal Procedure:
1. Properly lift the vehicle (ensure wheels are off the ground).
2. Remove the spacers from the left and right rear suspension stems by hand.
3. Refer to the illustration below for reference.

1.2 Check For Suspension Spacers

The following chapter includes a list of best practices and technical notes for Maserati Grecale service;
this vehicle’s features require precautions that may otherwise not be noticed or highlighted while the
vehicle is undergoing normal operations in the workshop. First, please note that before driving an
electric vehicle inside the workshop environment, a series of specific checks must be carried out; all
the details are reported in the dedicated documentation.

2.1 Lifting the vehicle
The position of the lifting points is indicated by an inverted triangle stamped on the edge of the body;
there are also the vehicle side pads for interfacing the lift arms.

Rear pad

Be careful about the lift arms geometry
to prevent damaging the vehicle during
the lifting operation. We recommend
removing all possible loads from the
vehicle (passengers, luggage, spare tire,
etc.) to increase the distance from the
ground (in case there are no air springs).
It is also recommended to use lift plates
with a flat surface on the lifter.

Please note that due to the proximity
between the rear lifting pads and the battery
pack, the use of special lift plates may be
necessary to assist the battery; the absence
of this precaution makes the safe
removal/installation of the HV battery
impossible due to interference between the
battery itself and the lifting arms. Please,
refers to bulletin MAS003533 (and its
subsequent revisions) for further information
or consult the supplier of the lifter for
compatibility checks.
NOTE: It is mandatory to use a lifter with
underground or upper cable gland to not
hinder the HV battery Removal/Installation
operation.

Door Opening

The following diagram summarizes the instructions in the On-board Documentation concerning the
door opening controls:

If the electric locks cannot be powered,
the key fob has an emergency
mechanical key that can unlock the
driver’s side door using a lock
corresponding to the handle itself, as
shown in the figure below:

Unlocking the High voltage battery
charging port door
To open the charging port door
(located on the rear left side of the
vehicle). Vehicle doors must be
unlocked. Press to release and open the
charging port door, the charging door
will open completely.
