The update is required to ensure the climate control module has the latest available software installed
The software update within the Work must be conducted, the update applies the latest specification software to the
climate control module
The update ensures the HVAC system operates to specification and also ensures that one or a combination of the
following DTC’s are not logged
U1A2900: Interior air conditioning Function restriction start / stop
And / Or
U1A2A00: Interior air conditioning Function restriction AC operation
Once updated the software version of the climate control module will be 3075

If the vehicle is not already listed as repaired in “Repair history" (in Elsa pro), check for the presence of the green paint
completion mark as shown within the Identification section
If neither are evident please conduct the instructions within the Work section to completion

Work
Before conducting the update the operative MUST ensure the following:
• The closedcircuit
voltage of
the vehicle
must be at
least 12.5
volts
during the
update.
Connect a
suitable
battery
charger to
the vehicle
(12 volt
system) For
further
information
refer to the
Repair
manual
• During the
update
switch off
all
unnecessary
consumers
(ventilation,
seat heater,
interior
illumination
etc) ensure
the main
light switch
is set to
‘off’ and
leave the
driver’s
door open
•
Do Not under any circumstances use a Bluetooth connection between the diagnostic tester and the interface to conduc
WARNING
New Flying Spur Hybrid specification vehicles use a High voltage system and MUST only be worked on by
suitably qualified personnel
WARNING
Please ensure all guidelines within the repair manual are strictly followed whilst conducting work on vehicles
with a High voltage system or a 48 volt system
Software Version Management (SVM)
1) Select and run Guided fault finding
•
Referring to Figure 1 - Within the Special functions tab select SVM - Code Input (A) then select Perform test (B)

NOTICE
The operative must be aware that there are two different SVM codes depending on the model, please ensure
the correct SVM code is used as detailed below
2) On the next screen enter the correct SVM code (Figure 2) depending on model as shown below
New Continental GT and New Continental GTC - 37008SW3075
New Flying Spur - 37108SW3075

3) On the following screen, confirm the code - Then select Yes
•
All control modules will be interrogated
•
The SVM action will then take place (Figure 3)

4) Follow all on screen prompts until complete
5) On completion - Switch off the ignition
• Remove the diagnostic interface from the OBD port
• Switch off and remove the battery charger (12 Volt system) from the vehicle
• Close the bonnet, boot and all doors
• Lock the vehicle
• Wait 5 minutes to allow the vehicle to go into bus silence
• When 5 minutes has elapsed, unlock the vehicle and open the driver’s door
• Switch on the ignition
6) Re-connect the battery charger (12 volt system) to the vehicle - For further information refer to Rep.Gr 27
7) Connect a suitable diagnostic machine with ODIS capability to the vehicle
• Carry out a Guided Fault Finding check (GFF)
• Erase all applicable DTC’s
8) Apply a yellow paint completion mark to the 12 volt battery negative cable protective sleeve (Figure 4)
