This bulletin applies to vehicles built on and after July 01, 2024 (MDH
0701XX) and on or before April 23, 2025 (MDH 0423XX) equipped with
the 1.3L I4 Turbo Mair DI Eng w/ESS E100 (Sales Code EYJ).

CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Customers must experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination and the vehicle must
exhibit/set one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs):
● P0087 - Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low - Bank 1.
● P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire.
● P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfire.
● P0302 - Cylinder 2 Misfire.
● P0303 - Cylinder 3 Misfire.
● P0304 - Cylinder 4 Misfire.
● P006C - MAP - Turbocharger Inlet Pressure Correlation.
Customers may also experience one or more of the following:
● The injector light is illuminated on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
● Engine idle is unstable.
● Abnormal noise from the engine.

CAUSE:

Fuel injection

This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-116,
date of issue July 01, 2025. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service
action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/Service Library.
All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty.
REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves inspecting for a fuel injector leak and possibly replacing the fuel injectors and the fuel
pipe.

NOTE: Only for the Brazil market. New parts requests will only be approved with the inclusion of
the order on the "Recall Order with VIN" screen in CSPS, in accordance with the Standard
Procedure "00 - Request for campaign parts," published in the Service Library.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in DealerCONNECT/
Service Library, verify all related systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs or symptom conditions, other
than the ones listed above are present, record the issues on the repair order and repair as necessary before
proceeding further with this bulletin.
If a customers VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list
exhibits any of the symptom listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Start the engine and allow the engine to warm up to the normal operating temperature.
2. Connect the wiTECH to the vehicle.
3. Access the injection ramp pressure values in the Engine Control Module (ECM) in graphical mode. To do
this, choose the following parameters:
● Engine speed (or engine speed).
● Fuel rail pressure (or Fuel Pressure Instruction on Common Rail High Fuel Pressure).
● Desired Fuel Line Pressure (or Common Fuel Injection Ramp Pressure).
● Ignition deactivation time.
4. Turn OFF the engine, switch the ignition to ON and observe the injection ramp pressure values for one
minute.
5. Observe if the graph read on the vehicle Fig. 1 and Fig. 2.

6. Did the graph present results according to Fig. 1 or Fig. 2?
● YES>>> Print or capture the image (print screen) showing the injection ramp pressure loss failure with
the parameters "Fuel rail pressure" and "Desired fuel line pressure" (for possible warranty submission)
and then proceed to Step 7.
● NO>>> This bulletin has been completed. Use Scan Tool Diagnosis - Inspection LOP (14-30-20-9L) to
close the active RSU.
7. With the engine OFF, still at normal operating temperature, remove the spark plugs. Refer to the detailed
service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 5510D10 - Spark
plugs - Removal and Replacement.

8. Insert the end of the videoscope handle into each of the cylinders Fig. 3.

9. With the help of an co-worker, ask the co-worker to turn the ignition key ON (or start the vehicle with the
start button without pressing the brake pedal) without starting the engine.
CAUTION!
Do not start the engine during the leak test of the injectors with the videoscope.
10. Keep the contact on for one minute per injector.

11. Using the videoscope, inspect for fuel leakage through the injector Fig. 4 and Fig. 5.
NOTE: Repeat Step 10 and Step 11 with the videoscope on all injectors.

12. Was a leak found at the tip of one or more or any fuel injector Fig. 5?
● YES>>> Proceed to Step 13.
● NO>>> Use Scan Tool and Videoscope Diagnosis - Inspection LOP (14-30-20-9M). Further diagnosis is
required to root cause the issue (for this, consult item 34684 of iSolve) and open a DID-A (if necessary).
Proceed to Step 14.
13. Replace the fuel injectors and the fuel pipe (common rail / high pressure pump). Refer to the detailed
service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 1056F60 - Single
Fuel Collector Pipe - Complete Injector - Removal/Replacement.
14. Install the spark plugs. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service
Library under: Service Info> 5510D10 - Spark plugs - Removal and Replacement.
15. Clear DTCs.
NOTE: After applying this TSB, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A.
