Before you begin, take a moment to confirm that your current firmware version is 2.09 or 2.12. This
is shown on the Spyder Controls touch screen by going to the settings page and selecting
diagnostics. This will bring you to the module page that shows the inverter firmware under Fw:
If the Firmware is not shown on the Spyder Controls, you will have to confirm on the inverter. On the
inverter screen, press the center rectangular button to scroll through the different pages. If the U3
code is 2.08 or lower, a specific update file will need to be sent. If the U3 code is 2.09 or higher, you
can use the file in the link.

After you’ve confirmed the firmware version, formatted the USB and extracted the files using the
attached instructions, you will need to access the inverter. In the Ontour 2.0, this is located in the
passenger side ottoman seat and is white and blue in color as shown below. The USB port is on the
lower right hand corner that faces the wall.
Remove the 4 screws securing the carpeted panel in place to access the inverter.

e If you were able to confirm U3 on the Spyder Controls touch screen, you may need to only
remove the top carpeted panel to access the inverter.
Turn off the battery disconnect switch on your entry LCD screen and turn off the master inverter
switch (black rotary on/off) located at the rear of your coach. You’re now ready to begin step 4 of the
Xantrex inverter update instructions, start by turning the inverter off with the power button located
on the inverter itself shown as # 5 in the image below.
