¢ Electrical system fault lamp lights up.
¢ Vehicle does not start.

Workshop findings:

The following DTC and symptom code is logged in the Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- (address
word 0019):

* DTC P1D6CO00: 12V battery faulty - Symptom: 8519692 — Active/static OR Passive/sporadic.

Technical Background
Check 12V battery due to DTC entry.

Production Solution

No production change.

Service

The following DTC and symptom code is logged in the Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- (address
word 0019):

* DTC P1D6C00: 12V battery faulty - Symptom: 8519692 — Active/static OR Passive/sporadic.
Proceed as follows:
1. Run the test plan to read out the history data (read out all history data).

Charge the 12V battery with a charger that has a charging voltage of 14.8V or higher.

3. Delete the DTC memory entry.

4. Re-evaluate the battery using GFF.

If the DTC entry is still logged after charging and re-evaluating using GFF, run the associated test plan for the
specific DTC entry in Guided Fault Finding.

Adhere to Guided Fault Finding

Replacing the battery without an instruction to do so from Guided Fault Finding is not permitted.
Try to reproduce the customer complaint (based on the description/cause of the issue), so that it can be
clearly assigned to this TSB. The following repair must only be carried out if all the criteria (model/type,
chassis number, engine/motor and gearbox code, PR number(s), part number, software version, code etc.)
apply exactly. Otherwise, this solution will not eliminate the concern and repeat repairs may be necessary.
In such a case, we may reject the warranty claim and charge back the cost of the parts.
