Feature Enhancement - Driver Assist Features
Active Driver Assist Systems
*Available Feature. Equipped Ford vehicles come with either a complimentary trial
period or an included duration, after which purchase of a BlueCruise subscription is
required. Modem activation is required for subscription purchase and for initial
activation of BlueCruise (for pre-2024 model year vehicles). See smart-link for
details. BlueCruise is a driver-assist feature and does not replace safe driving or
driver’s attention, judgment or need to control the vehicle. Only remove hands in a
Hands-Free Blue Zone. Always watch the road and be prepared to resume control.

Ford BlueCruise* 1.4 brings the best hands-free highway driving performance yet to
keep you hands-free longer, along with the latest features - Lane Change Assist and
In-Lane Repositioning. Your vehicle may have received software via service or OTA for
BC related content which included the following:
"*BlueCruise 1.4 (equipped vehicles only):*
· Lane Change Assist: allows you to use the turn signal to indicate a desired lane
change, which the system will perform when the path is clear.
· In-Lane Repositioning: can help provide more space by subtly shifting away from
large vehicles in adjacent lanes.
· More hands-free highway time: In our internal testing, BlueCruise 1.4 stayed engaged
in hands-free mode for at least 8 times longer than BlueCruise 1.0 based on
improvements in curves and narrow lane handling.
· More in-lane stability: BlueCruise 1.4 improves in-lane stability by over 4x compared
to BlueCruise 1.0, reducing the 'side-to-side' movement of prior versions.
· One-button activation: As long as the Lane Centering slider is turned ON in the Driver
Assistance screen, customers only need to press the Adaptive Cruise Control button
without having to also press the Lane Assist button.
· Sliders to turn Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning On or Off in the Driver
Assistance screen will be made available in a future update.
*Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Predictive Speed Assist: *
· Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited Series customers will receive an upgrade to
their ACC system that includes the following:
· When Predictive Speed Assist is active, the ACC system will now temporarily adjust

the vehicle speed in advance of curves and will display an illustration in the
instrument cluster display explaining the reason for the speed adjustment.
· Although Predictive Speed Assist is now deployed on your vehicle, the Driver
Assistance screen will still show a slider named Speed Sign Recognition. The label of
this slider will change to Predictive Speed Assist in a future update.
*Vehicles with Pre-Collision Assist now have greater coverage.*
· Pre-Collision Assist now has enhanced detection and automatic braking capability
for pedestrians crossing into the vehicle’s path when the vehicle is turning and
traveling between 3 and 19 mph."
