This retrofit provides new MY24 emissions labels and replaces pre-production parts and software with production level parts and software on certain
Model Year 2024 chassis. Reference the “Retrofit Parts Matrix” in the Links section below to determine which chassis are eligible and parts required to
complete the Retrofit.
The emissions exemption for all PACCAR MX powered chassis involved in this retrofit expires on 10/31/2024. After that date, all PACCAR MX powered
chassis that have not received this Retrofit will be out of emissions compliance and illegal to operate.
Certain Cummins powered chassis listed on the “Retrofit Parts Matrix” may also require completion of Cummins Retrofit C7014, accessed through
Cummins QuickServe. Cummins powered chassis may also be subject to emissions exemption expiration. Refer to engine emissions label to determine if an
exemption expiration date applies.
Chassis equipped with PACCAR MX engines will receive redesigned fuel injectors to optimize engine performance.

Condition
Kenworth has determined that certain pre-production vehicles had pre-production parts, software, and exempt emissions labels installed.
The emissions exemption for all PACCAR MX powered chassis involved in this retrofit expires on 10/31/2024. After that date, all PACCAR MX powered
chassis that have not received this retrofit will be out of emissions compliance and illegal to operate.

Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis.
1. Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list.
2. Confirm with the customer that your dealership will be the repairing location before ordering parts and labels.
3. Refer to the attached R2306 Parts Matrix and order parts required for the chassis.

All chassis require compliant Engine Emission labels, Clean Idle labels, and Vehicle Emission Control Information labels.

significant lead time that must be considered when scheduling vehicles for
service. There is a 2 to 4-week processing time for label requests.

1. Confirm that all parts and labels have arrived before scheduling the customer for repairs. See procedures section for TCS365 label ordering
information.
2. In Service Management, select Campaign R2306 to add it to the case. If the unit is released back into service without performing the repair, make
sure to also release the Campaign in Service Management
3. If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for “Complete” or "In Process" next to the R2306 campaign code prior to
performing this repair.
4. Follow the procedures below to perform the retrofit as required for each chassis.

The emissions exemption for all chassis involved in this retrofit expires on 10/31/2024.
Any Cummins powered chassis listed on the “Retrofit Parts Matrix” may also require completion of Cummins Retrofit C7014, accessed through Cummins
Quickserve. Cummins powered chassis may also be subject to emissions exemption expiration. Refer to engine emissions label to determine if an
exemption expiration date applies.

NOTE
If emissions exemptions are allowed to expire, vehicle owners could receive
civil fines per regulation 40 CFR 19.4 up to $5,761 per engine. In addition,
owners may be required to discontinue operation of the vehicle until the
retrofit is completed.

Warranty
There is no time or mileage limit to this campaign. The emissions exemption for affected vehicles expires on 10/31/2024. To avoid possible fines, it must
be completed immediately. Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:
Refer to the attached R2306 Parts Matrix in the parts section for the necessary parts for each chassis.
Select editable Quick Claim R2306. Dealers must edit the claim to include all parts and labor used.
Attach a time sheet detailing labor hours used for this retrofit.
NOTE
Each chassis will have a different combination of parts to be replaced.

and labor for each chassis.

Take photos of the new labels after installation and attach them to the warranty claim. Claims filed without these photos may be denied.
Cummins powered vehicles will receive appropriate emissions labels (if necessary) via Cummins Retrofit C7014, accessed through Cummins
QuickServe. As such, photos of Cummins emission labels are not required when filing a warranty claim through PACCAR.
File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed first.

For the “Regulated Modification”, select “Label”, and then select “Convert Exempt Vehicle to Compliant Vehicle.
The new label will be mailed to you UPS Red – Next Day Air.

All 6 injectors must be replaced AND PCI-2 software updated in the same
service event.
Mismatched software/injectors will cause system faults and severe
engine/aftertreatment system damage.

Do not use RMI for injector part numbers.
A TCS 365 case is required so that PACCAR Vehicle Support Center can activate the appropriate software to support the EPA24 injectors.
