This announcement is to bring attention to the OTA for In-vehicle service appointment scheduler and In-vehicle message center.

Please be advised that SAS/Head Unit release will be delivered to customers on 06/24/2025.
In-vehicle service appointment scheduler and In-vehicle message center.
Details are as followed:
➢ Date of SAS/Head Unit Release : June 24, 2025 at 11:00am
➢ Update to: Head Unit Center and SAS redesign
➢ No Downtime
➢ Head Unit Message Center: The Message Center will provide a portal for customer access
messages regarding recalls/ service, MIL warnings, campaigns and Over-the-Air Update
messages.
➢ SAS Redesign: Update the design of the Head Unit based on Service Scheduler to match the
design and aspect ratio of the new Gen4 Head Unit layout.
➢ Customer Communication: There is no customer communication identified for the
06/24/2025 release
➢ With this retailer announcement, we have provided SAS user flow documentation to
illustrate how the new release will look and function. An important note: Users can
complete the service scheduling process in the Head Unit only if their preferred retailer
participates in Schedule Connect (via Affinitiv) or SubarueBay logo Spectrum(via Xtime). If the
preferred retailer does not use either of these tools, the user will instead be prompted to call
the retailer-resulting in a very different experience from what is illustrated in the SAS cards.

User flows
From SAS cards
On the Head unit, there are three different types of notification for SAS cards are
present: (Maintenance, Recall, Diagnostic). Through these cards the user can
navigate to SAS (Service Appointment Scheduler)

Maintenance Alert SAS Card
This card shows the maintenance due to information on a vehicle. Also shows the
recommended maintenance interval (if applicable).

Recall SAS Card
This card shows recall information.
For non-schedulable recall it will show the preferred retailer phone
number for calling the retailer.

For schedulable recalls, if there is no appointment already scheduled
in the next 30 days with the retailer, it will show the schedule
appointment button.

Diagnostic Alert Card
This card shows the Mil-warning (Diagnostic Alerts/Dash lights) Information
related to user vehicles.

Navigate to the appointment scheduler by clicking on the buttons below which are
present on the SAS cards.
Schedule appointment
This button will show ONLY when VIN has preferred retailer selected, or in recall case
if it is a schedulable recall and there is not an existing appointment in the next 30
days. By clicking this button, we can directly redirect / navigate to SAS Retailer page.

Select retailer
This button will show when VIN does not have a preferred retailer selected, or
if the user chooses to change their retailer on a one-off basis; by clicking this
button the user can navigate to the nearby retailer screen. This will not change
the users preferred retailer, only the retailer associated with this particular
appointment.

From head unit application
Users can go directly to the scheduler from the head unit by clicking MySubaru
application on head unit.

Choosing MySubaru button on head unit will present another head unit screen which
has all different SubarueBay logo applications SAS, message Center etc. Users must click on
make an appointment option which will navigate to the SAS home page.

From message Center (Gen4)
On Head unit a notification card may be presented. Clicking on “read now” will go
directly to the message detail page.
If the message is schedulable; there’s not an already existing appointment scheduled
with the preferred retailer in the next 30 days: it will show the schedule appointment
button which redirects user to retailer page if the user has a preferred retailer. If not,
then it will show the select retailer button which will redirect to select nearby retailer
screen.

SAS Screens Complete flow
Home screen
The home Screen is the first screen which user sees when coming from the head unit
button (not a notification dialog)
If the user does not have a preferred retailer, then it will not show the dealer info
and scheduled appointments, and maintenance intervals. Clicking on schedule
appointment button will redirect to the select nearby retailer screen.
If the user has a preferred retailer, then it will show the retailer information, any
scheduled appointments, and maintenance interval details. Clicking on the schedule
appointment button will redirect to retailer details page. Clicking on the upcoming
appointment arrow or the pod will redirect to cancel appointment page.
The customer care button: initiates a call with customer care.
The back button on the right side will redirect it to the SAS head unit home page.

Preferred Retailer Screen
The Preferred retailer screen is the first screen when the user is navigating from a
head unit notification popup (From SAS cards) and the third user flow from Message
Center.
This screen consists of retail information along with three buttons.
Change the retailer button: The user wants to schedule the appointment with a
different retailer.
Get directions: The user will redirect to another screen in the head unit which will
show the direction to the selected retailer in the map application. This button
shows when user VIN as RPOI or RPOIA capability.
Call button: Makes a call to the selected retailer number. This button shows
when the user’s phone is connected to the head unit.
Schedule appointment: Redirects to select service screen.

Select a Nearby Retailer
The Preferred retailer screen is the first screen when the user navigates from a head
unit notification popup and the third user flow from Message Center.
This page shows the three nearest dealers the user can choose from to schedule a
service.
The search by Zip code button allows the user to enter a zipcode to see the 3 nearest
dealers to that zipcode that the user can schedule service with.

Search for retailer screen
This is the fourth screen; the main purpose of this screen is to search the retailer /
dealer based on zip and postal code. There are two separate displays for Canada
and US.
US only consists of numbers in the Zip code.
For Canada we need to search it from postal code which consist of numbers as well
as the alphabets.
After clicking on search button if it is valid code, it will redirect to the previous screen
with the retailer details. If not, it will show a popup for invalid code.

Select a service
This is the fifth screen which shows all the service available for the user to schedule.
These services can consist of Warning lights, recalls, maintenance and other services
like check engine etc.

On selecting the service(s), the continue button will be enabled.

Select date and time
This screen will show the available time and date for appointments.
The date and time for one month from the current date can be chosen.
By default, the current date with Am time slots will show to the user. If Am time
slots are not available.
Users can choose the date and time which is available or use the arrows to scroll
forward and back through additional date/time combinations.

The call button only shows at the end of time last available dates as shown in the
below figure along with the copy.

Select the Transportation mode
Once the user selects the preferred time and date from the previous screen and
chooses continue, this display will be presented.
This display shows the retailer’s information along with the date which the user chose
for an appointment as well as the Transportation mode options available to the user.
The user can choose one of the transportation types and book an appointment.
Modify date and time allows the user to change the appointment date if the user does
not want the selected date/time.

Confirm appointment
This screen shows detailed information about the appointment.
Retailer or Dealer information
Date and time selected.
Transportation mode
Services which the user has chosen.

Appointment Confirmation
This is the final screen which shows the information about a successfully scheduled
appointment.
Along with the following three buttons.
Get direction Clicking on this button the user will redirect to the head unit map
application. This button shows when user VIN as RPOI or RPOIA capability.
Call button which will make a call to retailer number. This button shows when the
user’s phone connected to the head unit.
Back to Service Home button which redirects the user to the service home page
where user can see the latest booked appointments.

Cancel appointment
When the user clicks on upcoming appointments pod or arrow from the home screen
the user will redirect to this screen.
This screen is for canceling the chosen appointment.
The following three buttons are available on this display.
Get direction Clicking on this button the user will redirect to the head unit map
application. This button shows when user VIN as RPOI or RPOIA capability.
Call button which will make a call to retailer number. This button shows when the
user’s phone will connected to the head unit.

Cancel Appointment cancels the appointment. It will show the pop up with the
confirmation message along with the two buttons which are listed below.
Yes, delete Clicking on this button it will cancel the appointment, and user
will be redirected to the home page.
Cancel button or close icon at top right will remain on cancel appointment
screen.
Cancel appointment display also has the close icon on left side of the screen. This
icon redirects to the home screen.

Error message Screen
This is the common error display which shows any error related to the backend
failure.
Not able to fetch the data, fail in API, fail in accessing the next screen. The URL is
invalid, etc.
This screen also consists of the close icon which returns the user to the head unit
home page.
