DOOR BELT OUTSIDE WEATHERSTRIP

SUBJECT:

REPLACEMENT (CA2504)

This bulletin provides information to replace the door belt outside weatherstrip(s) on certain 2023-2025MY
Telluride (ON) vehicles produced from August 04, 2020 through February 11, 2025. The affected vehicles may
be missing an adhesive layer, causing the outer faceplate to detach/separate from the door belt outside
weatherstrip molding. If a customer has a validated complaint of a door belt outside weatherstrip detaching
and/or separating, replace it and any weatherstrip(s) that have not yet been replaced under warranty
(including SA535 or SA578) according to the VIN list and procedure in this TSB. Note: Before proceeding with
this TSB, check for and complete any open Service Actions (i.e., SA535 or SA578) on a VIN.

 NOTICE
A Technical Service Bulletin is a field fix repair program without customer notification that may be
performed during the warranty period.
This bulletin should only be performed with valid customer complaint of door belt outside
weatherstrip(s) detachment and/or separation.
Repair status for a VIN is provided on KDealer+ (Service → Warranty Coverage → Warranty
Coverage Inquiry. If BOD340/CA2504A/B/C/D/E/F is complete, any subsequent or follow up
concerns need to be addressed under the terms of Kia's Basic Limited Warranty Coverage.

Replacement Procedure:
1.

Replace

the

front

door

belt

outside

weatherstrip (A) by referring to “Body (Interior
and Exterior) → Front Door → Front Door
Weatherstrip → Removal and Installation” in
the applicable Shop Manual on KGIS.

WARNING
Use extreme caution when removing
the door belt outside weatherstrip(s).
The faceplate can become sharp
when detached and can cause serious
injury.

2.

Replace the rear door belt outside weatherstrip
(B) by referring to “Body (Interior and Exterior)
→ Rear Door → Rear Door Weatherstrip →
Removal and Installation” in the applicable
Shop Manual on KGIS.
