This bulletin applies to:
● B1 vehicles built on or after January 03, 2024 (MDH 0103XX) and
on or before March 03, 2025 (MDH 0303XX).
● H1 vehicles built on or after January 19, 2024 (MDH 0119XX) and
on or before April 17, 2025 (MDH 0417XX).
● M1 vehicles built on or after January 08, 2024 (MDH 0108XX) and
on or before January 03, 2025 (MDH 0103XX).
● N4 vehicles built on or after January 05, 2024 (MDH 0105XX) and
on or before March 03, 2025 (MDH 0303XX).

CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:

Customers may comment on one or more of the following:
● Battery light is illuminated on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
● Vehicle does not start due to a depleted battery.

Loose alternator cable connection

This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 25-105,
date of issue June 05, 2025. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service
action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/Service Library.
All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty.
REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves tightening the alternator B+ cable nut to the proper torque specification.

Service Action

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list
exhibits any of the symptom listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. If equipped, remove the engine cover. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 1016A10 - Tampa insonorizante - remocao/
recolocacao incluso procedimentos necessarios.

3. Tighten the B+ cable nut to 10 N·m. (8 Ft. Lbs.) Fig. 1.

4. If equipped, install the engine cover. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info> 1016A10 - Tampa insonorizante - remocao/
recolocacao incluso procedimentos necessarios.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
NOTE: After applying this TSB, it is not necessary to send DID-I or DID-A.
