X15N Block Stiffener Plate Torque Correction Campaign

Description
This Campaign is being issued to address a low torque condition on block stiffener plate cap screws on certain X15N CM2380 X150B. This field action authorizes
certified repair locations to re-torque block stiffener plate cap screws to the proper torque specifications on eligible engines.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine:
1. will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2. must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action.

Note : The ESN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
Refer to Service Manual: 6383176
1. Drain the lubricating oil. Refer to Procedure 007-037, Section 7.
2. Remove the lubricating oil pan. Refer to Procedure 007-025, Section 7.

Note : Discard the oil pan gasket. The oil pan gasket is not reusable.
3. Do not remove Block Stiffener Plate. Torque the (16) block stiffener plate cap screws to the correct torque limit specifications as detailed in Procedure 001-089,
Section 1.
4. Complete the Finishing Steps in Procedure 001-089. Ensure no leaks are identified.

Note : All eligible units will require the re-torque of all the block stiffener plate cap screws. Repair requires a drain and refill of new engine oil.

Material Disposition
Materials removed as a result of this field action must be scrapped.

Claimables titled CAMPAIGN SUPPLIES or other appropriate selections. A total of $390.00 (USD) is allowed for reimbursements. Please include brief
summaries on the details of items claimed. A lack of documentation in the narrative may result in a reduction in claim reimbursement or claim
denial.
