Issue Description

Due to a software error in the high-voltage battery
control unit (BMC), the calculation of the calibration
test number (CVN) cannot be carried out in full on the
affected vehicles. This may lead to incomplete output
of the on-board diagnostics in the event of a fault in
the high-voltage battery (BMC) control unit. As a result, country-specific regulations are not met.

What Porsche Centers Should Do

For this reason, the high-voltage battery (BMC) control unit on the affected vehicles must be re-programmed with a corrected data set. During the next workshop visit, please arrange for this action to be carried
out on the affected vehicles

If other programming campaigns that affect the same control unit and entail an identical procedure are open for
a vehicle in addition to this campaign, the affected control unit only needs to be programmed once using the
current PIWIS Tester test software.

Please proceed as follows for the campaigns that have not been carried out:
• Mark the campaign as 'cannot be carried out' with the reason "Modification of the affected
component" in PQIS. The "Warranty relevance" flag must be activated in order to be able to set a
warranty claim and close the campaign.
• A warranty claim must be submitted for the campaign in which 0 time units is entered as the specified
labor time and no material items are specified.
