Cause:

There is a possibility that the right-hand intake manifold on the turbocharger was not manufactured
according to specifications on the affected vehicles.
This can result in a leak with oil droplets forming between the intake manifold and the turbocharger.

Action:

Check the right-hand intake manifold on the turbocharger and replace it if necessary.

Replacing right-hand intake manifold on turbocharger
Information
The following procedure must be observed if oil drop formation is detected on the right-hand intake manifold
on the turbocharger or on the turbocharger housing at the right:
•

Carry out photo documentation of the complaint. The images must be documented so that the affected
areas are clearly visible.

•

Upload the pictures to the PCCS process line with the relevant description on the affected side, e.g.,
right-hand intake manifold on turbocharger VIN_Figure 1.

•

Replace the right-hand intake manifold on the turbocharger.
