Information:

PCNA has identified the need for minimum requirements of the connection signals and speeds in the Porsche
Center Workshop, Porsche Service Center, Porsche Factory, and any location where a Porsche Vehicle Handover,
Connect Activation, PDI, Service, Repair, or Customer concern validation is completed.
If the listed minimum standards cannot be met at all Working Bays, Service Drive, and Delivery Bays, the Porsche
Center must work with a local service provider to install the necessary hardware and service plans to ensure
compliance.
The standards below are Required and count as MRT (Minimum Required Tools).

The minimum requirements in this document pertain to technology that is ever changing, adapting, and upgrading,
the specs will be updated as needed. Always refer to PPN for the latest standards and do not rely on printed
versions of this information.

Internet (ISP):

Minimum ISP Internet connection speed:
• 1Gbps
The Porsche Center is required to have a 1Gbps minimum internet connection speed available for the Workshop
equipment including PiUS and the PT4G testers.
This connection is strictly for the Porsche Center Workshop and may NOT be shared with other departments,
customers, or employee personal devices.
i.e. – Purchased internet speed from the ISP

WiFi/LAN:

Minimum dedicated Workshop router bandwidth:
• 100Mbps per PT4G Tester
The Porsche Center Workshop is required to have a dedicated WiFi network for the Workshop Equipment ONLY.
The minimum router standard is WiFi 5. WiFi 6, 6E, or 7 is recommended.
This connection is strictly for the Porsche Center Workshop and may NOT be shared with other departments,
customers, or employee personal devices.
i.e. – Router broadcasting “Workshop WiFi” that the PT4Gs are connected.
– If your PC has 10 PT4G tester you would need 1000Mbps or 1Gbps of bandwidth

Mobile/Cellular:

Minimum signal measured by the Porsche vehicle and read via the PT4G:
• Macan H2 - 20%, All others - 48%
NOTE - See page 5 for PT4G measuring the signals.
The Porsche Center is required to have minimum levels of mobile data (cellular) available in areas listed below
• All Workshop working bays
• Service drive and write-up area
• Delivery bays
• All areas where Vehicle Handover, Connect Activation, PDI, Service, Repair, or Customer concern
validation is completed
If the required signal is not available in these locations, a repeater/booster or active DAS system will be necessary.
Contact a local service provider to install the necessary hardware and service plans to ensure compliance.

GPS:

Minimum signal measured by the Porsche vehicle and read via the PT4G:
• 6 GPS Satellites
NOTE - See page 6 for PT4G measuring the signals.
The Porsche Center is required to have minimum levels of GPS signal available in areas listed below
• All Workshop working bays
•

Service drive and write-up area

•

Delivery bays

•

All areas where Vehicle Handover, Connect Activation, PDI, Service, Repair, or Customer concern
validation is completed

Minimum spec for the PiUS PC:
• Free Storage – 1TB
• Available RAM – 8GB
• WiFi 5 or above
• Windows 11
The Porsche Center is required to have a PiUS 3.0 Application (server) installed on a PC in the Workshop.
This application is referred to as a “server” by Porsche AG (PAG).
This PC with PiUS installed is required to be located in the Workshop.
Porsche Technicians must be allowed direct and unlimited access to the PiUS PC without IT support or outside
department involvement.
i.e. – The PiUS application can be installed on the Porsche Shop Foreman’s PC
