Information:

Customers complain about rattling or squeaking noises from the lock area of the rear lid.

Cause:

Different pre-tensioning of the entire tailgate system can lead to movement between the catch bar and catch
hook in the lock.

Action:

If the noises can be clearly attributed to the rear lid lock and are not caused by other components, check the
rear lid lock and then rework the catch hook.
