AFFECTED VEHICLES: Certain 2004-2007 Lancer, 2006-2009 Raider, and 2012-2017 i-MiEV
PURPOSE:
With permission from Louisiana Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) on April 14, 2025, MMNA mailed letters to
owners, with Louisiana addresses, of certain 2004-2007 Lancer, 2006-2009 Raider, and 2012-2017 i-MiEV
vehicles with open Takata recalls. These notification letters were printed on a Louisiana Motor Vehicle
Division (MVD) letterhead and mailed in an envelope with MMNA’s mail processing return address. Please
take the time to familiarize yourself with the attached letter as some owners may ask you about its
authenticity.
MMNA has ample inventory of Takata recall parts. To minimize any customer inconvenience, be sure your
dealership has an adequate supply of recall parts on hand.

Dear MITSUBISHI OWNER,

MITSUBISHI has determined your vehicle contains an airbag recalled for serious safety concerns. If the recalled airbag in
your vehicle deploys, a part inside may explode and spray sharp metal pieces that could seriously injure or even kill you
or someone in your vehicle. This can happen even in a minor crash. Please know that your airbag becomes more dangerous
every day.

THE RECALL REPAIR IS FREE – PARTS ARE AVAILABLE – CALL NOW TO SCHEDULE
In the United States as of March 2025, there have been hundreds of alleged injuries and 28 confirmed deaths resulting from
this defect. Sadly, these incidents will continue to occur if these recalled airbags are not repaired. You can help keep these
numbers from increasing by getting your airbag repaired today for FREE.
Please encourage your family and friends to check for vehicle safety recalls using their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
at NHTSA.gov/recalls.
