DESCRIPTION
This article describes how to get a replacement Emissions Label, Certificate of Conformance or Clean
Idle decal for a Navistar/International engine.
You will need to contact Cummins for those same labels for a Cummins engine.

PROCEDURE
Navistar/International engine emission labels (except CV), Certificates of Conformance, and Clean Idle decal
additions will be provided by the Vehicle Programming Group, via the iKNow system. The cost per
replacement is $100.00 (US Dollars) each + shipping fees.
Clean Truck Check (emissions label replacement/engine family request process)
1. Dealer must verify the request from the customer. Label replacement or Engine Family Name for CTC

(Clean Truck Check)
2. Dealer must verify if the vehicle is equipped with the original or a replacement engine—document the
engine serial number with photos. IK1201388
3. Once verified, open a Vehicle Programming Case file in CMS – refer to the following
information: IK3000111.
4. Request Engine Family information and/or Replacement emissions label
Note: Replacement emissions labels can ONLY be provided for the vehicle's original installed engine.
REMAN ENGINE - If the vehicle is equipped with a replacement engine, attach a clear photo of the
ESN from the engine block and a photo of the engine label from the remanufacturer verifying the
replacement engine for application. The Engine Family Name will be provided in the case file by the
Programming Team.

OEM ENGINE - If the vehicle is equipped with the original engine, please attach four photos to the
case file showing the top and both sides of the engine and the ESN from the side of the block. The
Engine Family Name can be provided in the case file by the Programming Team. If a replacement
emissions label is required, please specify as such in the case file, and an order will be placed.
If a replacement label for a reman engine is required, please see the contact information in
IK1201388 (note: A replacement label will not contain engine family information)
5. If the customer is adamant that an OEM replacement emissions label is needed for a reman engine:
Note: Replacement emissions labels can ONLY be issued for original engines
If the engine has been replaced with a certified replacement, the compliance team can draft a letter
specific to that VIN and ESN and provide the Engine Family Name to keep in the vehicle at all
times.
The case file will be sent to International's Compliance Team for review to obtain this letter.
INTERNATIONAL ENGINES
To obtain an engine Emission Label, Certificate of Conformance, or Clean Idle decal, please submit a request
through the new CMS (case management system) by creating a case file for EACH VIN. Please be sure to
submit this case file to the Vehicle Programming group. See IK3000111 for instructions on how to submit
a case file in the new CMS. Please provide information such as engine build year, horsepower rating, engine
model and engine serial number.
INTERNATIONAL ENGINES IN FORD VEHICLES
For requests for International engines in Ford vehicles, have the customer email
[email protected] with the Ford VIN and other engine information. There is no need
for a case file with Navistar.
INTERNATIONAL CV
For International CV/International 6.6 engine, the Engine Label is ordered via the TSC replacement label
process. See G-6355 or PL1600001 for additional information.
To obtain a Clean Idle decal, please submit the request through the new CMS (case management system) by
creating a separate case file for EACH VIN. Please be sure to submit this case file to the Vehicle
Programming group. See IK3000111 for instructions on how to submit a case file in the new CMS.
REMANUFACTURED ENGINES
Replacement labels for Remanufactured engines need to be obtained from the company that remanufactured
the engine.
Notes:
If you already have a case file open for a request such as a Horsepower change, CARB Change, etc.
then you do not need to open an additional case file for this request as the request will be handled in that
case file.
The Emission Label and Certificate of Conformance processing time can take up to 2 weeks.
All processed and completed engine Emission Labels, Certificate of Conformance and/or Clean Idle
Stickers will be shipped to the dealer via FedEx.
