1. Overview
Through continuous product quality monitoring, McLaren Automotive has identified that in the instance of a flat 12V
battery the manual operation of the bonnet opening may be inhibited on some McLaren GTS vehicles. To address this,
McLaren Automotive has released an updated design of the latch for the bonnet and the bracket in the wheel arch
liner.

The below parts are required to action the installation of the updated latch for the bonnet and the bracket in the
wheel arch liner. All parts are available to order as normal via Unidial 2.

3. Procedure
To conduct the required work to replace the bonnet latch, follow the McLaren Service Portal (MSP) D051809 ‘Bonnet
Latch with Cable’ work instruction.
To conduct the required work to replace the wheel arch liner bracket, follow the McLaren Service Portal (MSP)
D051831 ‘Bracket – Fender to Wheel Arch Liner (WAL)’ work instruction.
Both actions, the replacement of the bonnet latch and wheel arch liner bracket, are required to be carried out to
complete this Service Campaign.
Care Point: To complete the required work for this Service Campaign, you must replace the bonnet latch and release
cable (together as supplied).

4. Warranty Information
Submit a claim to the McLaren Warranty department following completion of the work, using the following details.

Affected vehicles will be flagged in the Retailer Portal when next opening a Workshop Visit related to the vehicle.
Your Regional Aftersales Manager will also contact you with a VIN list of affected vehicles. If
