Remove jewelry before starting to work

scratch vehicle (i.e. belts, watches, necklace)

2. Protect the dashboard and garnish when Mechanic Starts Working

✓ Be careful not to damage the dashboard and garnish
while working.

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Make the following preparations;

SERVICE BULLETIN
2. Remove the caps on the screws with the help of a control pen.
3. Remove 4 screws, 3 number 3 star-tipped and 1 number 2 star-tipped, on the upper right side of the
garnish. As seen in the picture 1.

4. The part where the removed parts are is lifted up a little and the socket connections of the switch and the
screen are removed. After all the connections are removed, the garnish part is removed.
5. Open the SW box bottom cover and remove the screw between the SW box and the garnish with a number
3 star tip and a cordless tool, then remove the screw in the area shown in the picture.
Note: There is a risk of breaking the part if the part is tried to be removed without removing the screw here.

6. After removing the screw on the connection, the screws on the garnish are removed with the help of the star
tip and the charger numbered 2 and 3, then the garnish part is lifted up and the sockets with switch
connections are removed. After removing the socket connections, the part is lifted up and removed.

7. The screws on the garnish section where the vehicle's dashboard is located are removed with the help of
star bits numbered 3 and 2 and a cordless drill, then the sockets connected to the screen are removed. The
air hose to which the air conditioning grille is connected is removed with the help of a 7 mm tip wrench, then
the part is carefully removed. Shown in the picture.

8. The connection clamp of the cables connected to the omegas on the dashboard is cut. Shown in the
picture.

9. After removing the garnisch, the dashboard removal process begins.
10. The 6 screws on the handle are unscrewed with the help of a number 3 star bit and a cordless drill and the
handle is removed.

11. The dashboard is removed from the place shown in the picture and carefully lifted up. While lifting up, the
adhesives on the front of the dashboard are carefully removed at the same time.As seen in the picture

12. As seen in the picture, carefully unscrew the screws on the bottom cover. After all the screws are removed,
the screws of the bracket holding the bottom cover are unscrewed and the bracket is removed.As seen in
the picture.

13. After the screws are removed, the clamps which the air grilles are connected are removed with the help of 7
apex wrenches and then the bottom cover is removed.
14. The defroster and its surroundings are cleaned of dust and dirt. TEROSON PU 8550 brand cleaner is
poured onto a sponge and the surface is wiped.
Note: if the surface is not cleaned well, paper tapes may not stick to the surface.

15. Paper tape is applied to the lower edge of the surface of the defroster that sees the corridor and to the area
where the sealer will be applied, with a distance of 5 mm. In this way, the area around which the sealer will
be applied is masked. As shown in the picture.

16. After shaking TEROSON PU 8517 H primer for about two minutes, pour it into the sponge and apply the
primer to the masked area. The primer is used to ensure good adhesion of the sealant to the surface.
17. After the primer is applied, wait for 10 minutes. Then, with the sealer gun, TEROSON PU 8590 brand sealer
is applied to the desired area. The excess of the applied sealer is removed with the help of a sponge, and
then Terosan PU Smoothing Agent brand liquid soap and a sponge are used for trimming process.
18. Primer and sealer are applied to the surface of the defroster facing the front of the vehicle, on top of the
wick and to the sides as shown in the picture. We carefully apply the sealer until it reaches the brackets on
the sides of the defroster. As indicated in the picture, the wick will be closed.

19. After all these assemblies are completed, the dashboard lower cover should be installed
first.
20. The fixed cover is mounted in the dashboard gas-brake pedal area.
21. The dashboard top panel is mounted on the bottom panel.
22. SM tape must be applied before mounting the dashboard top panel.
23. Before proceeding with the garnisch installation, the sockets of the switches and the REI
unit must be made.
24. Air hoses should be fixed to the vents with clamps.
25. Garnısch consists of 3 areas in total. 3 areas must be assembled separately.
26. After the Garnisch installation, the plugs must be closed.
