The affected vehicles have been marked with campaign number 0061670000 in AIR.
In order to determine if a specific motorcycle is affected by this campaign, it will be necessary to verify the
vehicle VIN in AIR (Aftersales Information Research). Based on the response of the system, either proceed
with the repair or take no further action. Please note, open campaigns or vehicle stops may not appear in
DCS Warranty Vehicle Inquiry or sales systems until 24-72 hours after they are announced, therefore AIR is
always the recommended method for determining open campaigns and vehicle stops.
SITUATION
For affected vehicles with Option 417 (central locking system), when parked, under certain situations due to
a software error, the top case can be unlocked without the radio key ion range.
The affected vehicles have been placed under the delivery stop STOP610024 associated with campaign
number 0061670000, which will be lifted upon completion of this technical campaign.
Vehicles will be produced without the fault estimated during calendar week 15 (week of April 6-12) series
production.
PROCEDURE
For vehicles that have not yet been delivered, the service action must be completed before vehicle
handover. If the service action cannot be completed due to a parts, software, or special tool shortage, the
service action then must be performed during the next possible workshop visit when parts, software, or
special tools become available. In such instances where work cannot be performed, it is essential to inform
the customer of the situation.
In all instances in which the vehicles have already been handed over to customers, the Technical Campaign
must be performed at the next workshop visit.
The software version of the vehicle must be programmed to I-level K001-25-03-505 available with ISTA
version 4.52.4X, in accordance with the model-specific repair instructions “61 00 510 – Programming vehicle
control units”
Check to make sure you have the latest ISTA version before performing this software update.
NOTICE: When programming, it is essential to make sure that the FASTA data is transferred correctly to the
back end. FASTA data is used to make sure the correct performance of the Service Campaign was used for
warranty purposes. Incorrect data will result in delays of the credit or chargeback of the requests.
