Product Update: 2024 ZDX Electric Parking Brake (EPB) Harness Rubbing Half-Shaft Boot
Dear FIRSTNAME LASTNAME:
What is the reason for this Product Update?
Some 2024 ZDX vehicles’ Electric Park Brake (EPB) harness may not have enough clearance away from
the half-shaft boot causing the harness to rub against the boot during normal driving and accelerating
wear to the boot.
What will Acura
do?
Your Acura dealer will replace the EPB harness clips (driver and passenger sides) with new clips to
relocate the harness away from the half-shaft boot. The dealer will inspect the outer half-shaft boot on
each side for any sign of rubbing of the EPB harness and, if found, replace the affected rear drive shaft.
Please call any authorized Acura dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired for
FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, be advised that the repair process could take
between 30 minutes to 3.5 hours depending on the repairs performed. However, your dealer can provide
you with a better estimate of the overall time for this service visit, as it may be necessary to make your
vehicle available for longer. If you are not the only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers
and passengers of this important information.

Actualización de producto: El arnés del freno de estacionamiento eléctrico (EPB) del ZDX 2024 roza
con la cubierta del semieje

¿Cuál es el motivo de esta actualización de producto?
Es posible que el arnés del freno de estacionamiento eléctrico (EPB, por sus siglas en inglés) de algunos
vehículos ZDX 2024 no tenga suficiente espacio libre con respecto a la cubierta del semieje, lo que provoca
que el arnés roce contra la cubierta durante la conducción normal y acelere el desgaste de la cubierta.
¿Qué hará Acura?
Su concesionario Acura reemplazará los sujetadores del arnés del EPB (lados del conductor y del pasajero)
con sujetadores nuevos para reubicar el arnés lejos de la cubierta del semieje. El concesionario
inspeccionará la cubierta del semieje exterior de cada lado para detectar cualquier signo de roce del arnés
del EPB y si lo encuentra, reemplazará el eje de transmisión trasero afectado.
Por favor llame a cualquier concesionario autorizado Acura y haga una cita para la reparación de su
vehículo de forma GRATUITA. Una vez que programe una cita para su vehículo, le avisamos que el proceso
de reparación podría tardar aproximadamente 30 minutos a 3 horas y media dependiendo de las
reparaciones realizadas. No obstante, su concesionario le puede ofrecer un mejor estimado del tiempo total
de esta visita de servicio, ya que pudiera ser necesario que su vehículo esté disponible por más tiempo. Si
