Description
This article provides guidance on connecting an auxiliary APU to the S13's coolant system at approved locations. It includes the necessary parts
for making these connections, as well as the flow paths for supply and return lines.
Users will need to supply their hoses and additional connections beyond what is discussed here. This guide focuses on the specific connection
points on the S13 and provides the correct fitting and mounting points to facilitate the connection of an auxiliary APU to the S13. The chassismounted brackets and hosing will be customer-supplied and chassis-dependent, depending on options.

Installation Notes:
Order the specified parts to connect your auxiliary APU to the S13. The following steps will highlight the connection locations on the S13
engine, the coolant flow path, and the mounting location for the return tube. Refer to Figure 1 for visual guidance. Use the indicated points on
the engine to connect the parts, noting the supply and return lines. The 5/8 Hose to M22 adapter (PN - 4118263C1) will supply coolant from
the rear distribution block, while the coolant tube return pipe (PN - 4118263C1) will connect to the right-side rear coolant distribution block
for the return coolant.

Removal:

1. Prepare the coolant system for the removal and installation of coolant connection parts. Drain the cooling system according to the
service manual linked [HERE].
2. Remove the M22 plug from the rear coolant distribution block (see Fig 1).
3. Remove the block-off plate from the rear side coolant distribution block, which is secured with an M8x20 flange bolt (see Fig 1).

Installation:
1. Install the 5/8 Hose to M22 adapter (PN - 4118263C1) to the rear coolant distribution block (see Fig 1).
2. Install a new O-ring (PN - 104683N1) onto the coolant return tube (PN - 106740N1) and insert the coolant return tube assembly into
the rear side coolant distribution block. Re-use the M8x20 bolt.

3. Secure the coolant return tube assembly to the bracket using the M6x20 bolt (see Fig 2).
IMPORTANT: It is crucial to secure the hard line tube with a bolt to the bracket to prevent vibration damage in the future. Do not skip this step.
