Customer Complaint:
•

The vehicle / high-voltage battery cannot be AC charged.

•

Ready mode cannot be established.

•

The vehicle cannot be opened via the key fob.

•

The charging socket door cannot be opened.

•

The charging connector cannot be removed.

Workshop Findings:
•

The customer complaint is verified.

•

The 12V battery is low.

One of the following DTCs and corresponding symptom codes are stored (sporadic/static) in the High-Voltage Charger -AX4- (diagnostic
address 00C6):
•

P1A0800: Charging unit 1 Fuse faulty
‒

•

P1A0F00: Charging unit 2 Fuse faulty
‒

•

Technical Background
Component-related deviation in the control unit of the High-Voltage Charger -AX4- (diagnostic address 00C6).

NOTICE
Only the control unit for the High-Voltage Charger -AX4- (diagnostic address 00C6) with software part number
1EA.915.692.J and software version number 2207 is affected by this complaint.

Production Solution
Pending diagnostic improvement in the control unit for the High-Voltage Charger -AX4- (diagnostic address 00C6) with software version number
2208.

Service
First, clear the DTC entries from diagnostic address 00C6 using Guided Fault Finding (GFF).
Then, attempt to AC charge the vehicle using an appropriate Level 1 or Level 2 AC charger.
•

If the AC charging test is successful, and the DTC entries can be cleared from the vehicle:
‒

•

No further action is warranted – the vehicle can be returned to the customer.

If the AC charging test is unsuccessful, and/or the DTC entries cannot be cleared:
‒

Replace the High-Voltage Charger -AX4- according to the Repair Manual.
