+ DTC P2407 (P240700): “EVAP emission control system leakage diagnosis pump current fluctuating”.

Service

The engine control unit software must be updated on this vehicle. Inform the customer about the software update
and ask them whether the engine control unit has been altered by chip tuning. Explain to the customer that updating
the engine control unit software renders the chip tuning ineffective. In certain circumstances, the engine control unit
may even be damaged by the software update. Ask the customer to clarify with the tuning company in advance
whether a software update is possible.

Damage to the engine control unit resulting from chip tuning cannot be billed to AUDI AG under warranty. Please
refer the customer to the Warranty and Maintenance booklet to learn more about how chip tuning can impact
warranty coverage. Explain to the customer that neither AUDI AG nor your company can be held responsible for
damage caused by the software update or for damage that occurs as the result of not having the update performed.
Make a note to this effect on the order before it is signed by the customer. Include this information in the customer
file.

For vehicles with high-voltage components:

To prevent charging of the high-voltage battery during the software update, the high-voltage cable is to be removed
BEFORE the entry of the SVM code on vehicles with high-voltage components.

Charging the high-voltage battery during a software update cab damage the high-voltage components.

1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.

2. Update the -J623- (0001) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary:
