Description:

To improve product quality and long-term unit reliability, Thermo King has
identified multiple items on the TriPac 3 unit that must be inspected and/or
updated to maximize unit potential and customer satisfaction.
These updates may have been covered in previously released Service
Bulletins. This new Campaign Bulletin (CB776) combines the bulletins into
one campaign verifying ALL updates are inspected and completed.

IMPORTANT:

Verify OPEN Campaigns in TAVANT FIRST!
Log in to the TAVANT warranty system and search the unit serial number.
Scroll down to the “FIELD MODIFICATION” section. Identify ALL open
campaign bulletins that need to be completed. Below is an example of an
open campaign bulletin (CB772). These PENDING / OPEN campaigns
MUST be completed and filed separately from this new campaign CB776.

TAVANT will only show the applicable PENDING / OPEN campaigns in the
Field Modification area for the serial number searched. CB776A, CB776B,
CB776C, CB776D, or CB776E will also be in this list automatically,
depending on the unit build date and TKV5 status.
IMPORTANT:

It is highly recommended to install the TKV5 Telematics system on all
TriPac 3 equipped vehicles for the ease of future FLOTA software updates.
Some fleets may have preferences on where to mount the TKV5 module,
see service bulletin SB959 TriPac 3 TKV5 Telematics Fleet Specific
Installation Preferences for CB776.

IMPORTANT:

WinTrac 6 must be updated to version 6.12.0.21 before SB945 (TriPac 3
Software Update 5.0.7) can be completed. See Service Bulletin SB960 for
information and Wintrac update instructions. Previous versions of WinTrac
must be uninstalled from your PC before 6.12.0.21 can be installed.

Additional Glyptal® 1201B can be sourced through Vallen:

Description:

Thermo King has identified a standard assortment of tools / equipment that will be
required to support the Electrification Initiative. Thermo King has partnered with Vallen to
create an electronic catalog of these items so that all TK Dealers will be able to
effectively purchase these items.

How to Get Started:

All TK Dealers will need to set up a commercial account with Vallen. Complete
Commercial Credit Requisition and send to Bryan Lewis. Vallen team will then create an
established account and verify with end users when that process is complete.

Click on “Create Claim” link on the home page.
Select claim type “Field Modification.”
Select the campaign option FM776A, FN776B, FN776C, FN776D, or FN776E depending
on unit build date and TKV5 status as shown in the TAVANT options according to the unit
serial number.
5. Enter the remaining information on page one, then click the continue button to move to
page two:
a. Repair date
b. Work order
c. Number of hours in service
6. The labor section will be completed automatically.
7. The parts section will be completed automatically.
8. Non-Thermo King TSA Parts section will be completed automatically.
9. Enter comments as needed; “Condition Found” and “Work Performed” for example.
10. Validate and claim information looks correct on the claim summary.

Important TriPac 3 (ATD Units Only) Software Update Information
APU Software Reprogramming Procedures for Exhaust Pressure Sensor
This information only applies to TriPac 3 units equipped with the ATD system if built before
September 24, 2024.
Verify unit build date in TAVANT to verify if this information applies:

Thermo King and Yanmar have determined that your engine may be emitting pollutants in excess of
California and federal emission standards as defined in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
These emission standards were established to protect the public health or welfare from air pollution.
The original exhaust pressure sensor transfer function in TriPac 3 units with the Aftertreatment
Device (ATD) could potentially exceed engine power allowance. Field analysis shows no emission
limits were exceeded. Only in extreme cases could multiple factors potentially cause emissions to
exceed limits. The latest software revision with this campaign resolves this issue and ensures
emission compliance. TriPac 3 units equipped with ATD manufactured prior to September 24, 2024,
must have the software upgraded to the latest version. Campaign bulletin CB776 includes the latest
software version and additional product enhancements.
The software update is carried out free of charge for the customer from December 2nd 2024 to June
30th 2026. The update takes 1 hour to complete and can be done at your local dealer or over the air.
If not updated, your TriPac 3 unit with the ATD system may fail an emission inspection test if state or
local law requires one.
To ensure your full protection under the emission warranty and your right to participate in future
campaigns, we recommend you have your unit serviced as soon as possible. We may consider not
servicing it to be improper maintenance.

self-addressed card and return it to Thermo King.

Campaign Bulletin CB776 Procedure:
1. Schedule the unit for service at a Thermo King APU dealership.
2. Check unit and engine serial numbers in TAVANT.
3. Perform CB776 and upgrade the latest software version as detailed in the A46A - Flashload
Controller Software Procedure.
4. Use a permanent marker and write the servicing dealer name on the line provided on the
Campaign #: CB776 label.
5. Open the front access door of the TriPac 3 unit. Clean and apply the Campaign #: CB776 label
to the TriPac 3 frame where shown below.
6. Close the front access door.
7. File warranty claim using TAVANT.
