The SVM - Check vehicle configuration routine cannot be run successfully.
Technical Background
Because of the variety and complexity of the vehicle electronics, it is necessary to check, after completing the repair,
whether the new hardware and software combination is approved; in many cases, a data set (calculated live) needs
to be installed. The check and installation of the vehicle-specific data set (calculated live) must be performed via
Software Version Management (SVM) and documented in the CarPort vehicle database. Owing to a deviation in the
communication between the database systems, it is currently possible that the SVM — Check vehicle configuration
routine may not be completed in individual cases.

This TSB contains instructions on how to run the SVM - Check vehicle configuration routine successfully to the
end provided that the database issue has not yet been rectified completely.
+ After you have unsuccessfully run the SVM - Check vehicle configuration routine, please send the log in
the current ODIS session (Figure 2).

+ You can leave the diagnostic session on the ODIS tester open.

+ Now search for and open the online log in GFF Paperless on a corresponding PC. The following information
cannot currently be found in the log of the tester itself. You can also identify the log by the "in progress" status
because the session was not closed.

+ Scroll down to the section header Function tests and expand it by clicking on the header.

Make note of the diagnostic addresses found.

+ For each of the noted diagnostic addresses, start the Replace control module routine WITHOUT replacing
the control module as shown in Figure 6 using the example DA002C. The SVM - Check vehicle
configuration routine, which is automatically triggered every time here, can only succeed at the earliest at the
last diagnostic address. Before that it will fail, however, this can be ignored.

+ When you have run the Replace control module routine for all the noted diagnostic addresses, repeat the
SVM - Check vehicle configuration routine - see Figure 7. It should now run successfully.

Tip: Waiting 5 minutes between the end of "Replace control module" and before starting "SVM - Check
vehicle configuration" may help, so that the internal control module calibration can conclude, and they are
ready again.

+ In individual cases, during the SVM - Check vehicle configuration routine, the code 8113 may be displayed.
In this case repeat the SVM - Check vehicle configuration routine. A control module was not yet ready to
perform the test, possibly due to the setup routine that had been carried out shortly before and due to an
insufficient waiting time.
