Software Error in the Auxiliary Alarm System Control Unit Leads to Fault Memory Entry
“B107314” in the Airbag Control Unit (27/24)

Cause:

A software error in the control unit for the auxiliary alarm system is causing delays in the
start-up behavior of the control unit.
As a result, there is briefly no voltage signal on the crash signal line to the airbag control unit. This subsequently causes the yellow airbag warning light to be displayed in the instrument cluster.

Pre-fitting VTS and Porsche Car Connect (PCC, M-No. 7G9)
VTS security package (with PCC) and keypad (M-No. 7I0)
Porsche Vehicle Tracking System Plus (PVTS Plus, M-No. 7I2)

The following fault memory entry is stored in the fault memory entry of the airbag control unit:

B107314 - Crash signal analogue, short circuit to ground or open circuit (907314)

Information
The functionality of the airbag control unit with regard to the triggering of the restraint systems is not
reduced despite the active warning lamp.
Action:

If there is a customer complaint, re-program the auxiliary alarm system control unit with the latest PIWIS
Tester software release.

Read out and delete all control unit fault memories.

In the control unit selection (‘Overview menu’) press •F7“ to call up the Additional menu.

Select the function “Read all fault memories and delete if necessary” and press •F12“
(‘Next’) to confirm.

Exit the diagnostic application, switch off the ignition, disconnect the PIWIS tester from the vehicle.

Switch off and disconnect the battery charger.
