On Thursday, March 6, 2025, Service Pack (SP) 2 for DiagnosticLink® 8.21 Standard and
Professional will be made available to download from the Detroit Diesel server. This
release includes the following updates:

Fixed issue where the qualifiers did not display the primary or secondary air
pressure readings when connected to the Fifth Generation Cascadia SSAM02T.
Fixed issue where the State buttons on the XMC Digital Pinouts panel do not turn
green when switched on.
Fixed BMS bootloader programming issue.
Fixed Advanced 6X4 Dyno Routine panel from showing for eM2/eCascadia.
Support files updated for this release (CBF, CCF, SMR-D, and SMR-E files).
CTP panel to update CTP vehicle net type parameter.
SRRXX calibration updated to display start buttons for Fifth Generation Cascadia.
CHEC Instrumentation panel added to retrieve feature list and update vehicle
configuration.
The Automatic FSIC and FSIC Leak test for engines using Fifth Generation engine
software can now reliably hit the max rail pressure.
The PartsPro URL has been updated to Excelerator Parts.
The AP4 Powernet Instrumentation panels have been added to assist technicians
with diagnosing the following AP4 Powernet systems:

▪ IPDM ABC Batter pack
Text updated to ‘Calibrate driver side’ step of the MirrorCam System Calibration for
Fifth Generation Cascadia.
Added links to DiagnosticLink Videos from AftermarketTV (Panopto).
The eM2 Detroit Assurance Calibration panels have been revised to use the PT
Ready state.
eDrive has been changed to Cab Heating Valve on Thermal Controls eDrive panel.
Links have been added to the client tool to go to the local host ZenZefi-T information
(CeBID).
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have DiagnosticLink® 8.21 Standard or Professional
to receive SP2.
DiagnosticLink® 8.20 and earlier versions will not receive this service pack.
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, DiagnosticLink® 8.21 was released to the service
network. In order to maintain access to the Detroit server data, all Reprogramming
Stations must be kept up to date with the current version of DiagnosticLink® software.
Keep software current to avoid interruptions.
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: You must have DiagnosticLink® 8.21 installed on your computer prior to
applying this patch.
SP1 will automatically download when you connect to the DDC server. Please do the
following:
1. Open DiagnosticLink® software.
2. From the Tools drop-down menu, select Update….
3. A screen will display showing the progress of the download. Follow the
installation prompts to complete the download.
4. Verify that the patch has been applied by selecting About from the Help dropdown
menu. Verify the following:

MANUAL UPDATE
A download link is available that allows manual downloading and installation of the
DiagnosticLink® 8.21 SP2 patch for advanced users and system administrators. To access,
login to DTNA Portal - DiagnosticLink® support page at: https://dtnacontentdtna.prd.freightliner.com/content/dtnaportal/en/ServiceLP/Service Diagnostics and Tools/DiagnosticLink.html and click on the
8.21 SP2 download link from the Downloads section. Download the 8.21 SP2 installer
patch file and save to the local machine and run. Use the Repair option and follow the
setup guide to complete installation.
TECH SERVICE SUITE (TSS) UPDATE
TSS users will receive the SP2 update via the TSS cloud. No action required.
