Whats New Abstract
Campaign
Certain Peterbilt 579EV and 520EV Battery Electric Vehicles were built prior to the availability of certain labels and Low Voltage Distribution System (LVDS)
Components. Affected chassis will be inspected and necessary components will be installed.
Campaign start date: 02/04/2025.

Condition
Certain Peterbilt 579EV and 520EV Battery Electric Vehicles were built prior to the availability of the following components:
Warning/danger/information labels
Low voltage distribution system (LVDS) cover
12V cut loop label
12V battery positive terminal fuse holders and fuses
Body builder 12V access stud
The chassis will be inspected for the presence of all labels and Low Voltage Distribution System (LVDS) components listed above. Any required upfits to the

Campaign start date: 02/04/2025

Chassis Affected
13 (12 U.S. and 1 Canada) Model Year 2021-2023, 520EV and 579EV Battery Electric Vehicles built from 02/26/2020 through 02/21/2022.

Action
Campaign
Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis.
Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list.
In Service Management, select Campaign 46-013 to add it to the case. If the unit is released back into service without performing the repair, make
sure to also release the campaign in Service Management.
If you are not using Service Management to start repair orders, review SIR for “Complete” next to the 46-013 campaign code prior to performing this
repair.
Reference Repair Procedure in the Links section below for directions on inspecting and installing necessary labelling and Low Voltage Distribution
System (LVDS) components.

Warranty
Starting on 02/04/2025 and for repairs completed by 03/01/2026, Peterbilt will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:

2.3 hours labor to inspect for the presence of specified labels and LVDS components and install missing labels/components as needed per bulletin

To input shipping costs:
Shipping cost dollar amount must be in miscellaneous.
Cost Code = Freight.
Cost Category = Inbound.
Attach parts invoice showing shipping cost.

Peterbilt has decided that certain model 520EV and 579EV Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) built from 02/26/2020 through 02/21/2022 are
eligible for a campaign to be inspected for the presence and possible upfit of the following components:

What is the problem?

Certain model 520EV and 579EV were built prior to the availability of certain labels and
Low Voltage Distribution System (LVDS) Components

What will your dealer do?

Your dealer will inspect your chassis to determine which components are needed and will
install accordingly.

What should you do?

Contact your Peterbilt dealer to schedule an appointment.

Please contact a Peterbilt dealership to schedule an appointment for this improvement. To find your Peterbilt dealer, please visit “Find a
Dealer” at www.Peterbilt.com or scan the QR code. When contacting your Peterbilt dealer, refer to campaign 46-013 and the VIN(s) listed
in this letter. The work for this improvement may take up to 3 hours of labor depending on vehicle configuration and dealer scheduling.
There will be no charge to you if completed by 03/01/2026.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a prenotification remedy of the problem associated with this campaign
