The Check Engine light may be on and/or the engine may not start immediately following
transmission replacement.
Cause
Incorrect Range Sensor installed .
Correction
Some Technicians may find immediately following the installation of a SRTA transmission, the vehicle will not start,
the check engine light may be on and any or all of the following DTC'S may be set P182A, P182B, P182D, P182E,
P1839, P1840.
Upon removal of the transmission pan the Technician my notice a 10 terminal IMS sensor installed rather than a 4
terminal range position sensor.
If this is found; replace the internal harness and the range sensor to a 4 terminal sensor and re-evaluate.
