Cause
Potential calibration error that is being investigated where K291 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery
Pack Communication Module (Internal to the RESS) may be stuck in a programming state.
Correction:
If within MY23/MY24 Lyriq pAWD (XOE) VIN List – replace the BECM

vehicles listed , Continue with Verification Steps:
Using GDS2 Navigate to Battery Energy Control Module(BECM) > HV Data
Check the following parameters:
Pack Voltage
Positive Mid-Pack Voltage
Negative Mid-Pack Voltage
If any of these values are 0V, this confirms a potential calibration error. Engineering is actively working on a resolution.
Next Steps:
Perform SPS2 Hybrid/EV Data Retrieval Process*
Start a TAC case via DCM (Dealer case management)
Submit GDS2 Voltage data & SPS2 Hybrid/EV Data Retrieval Warranty Claim Code via the TAC case
Next steps will be provided once the data extract has been reviewed
*SPS2 Hybrid/EV Battery Data Retrieval
1. Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Select Controller: K16 Battery Energy Control Module
3. Select Function: Hybrid/ EV Battery Data Retrieval
4. Select Programming Type: Normal
5. Select the “Next” button at the bottom right of the screen.
6. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions until completion and receiving the WCC (warranty claim code)
NOTE: Additional Data collection may be necessary continue to keep 12V healthy and do not clear codes.
