Cause
The (500) Input Internal Gear may have separated from the (501) Direct Overdrive Sun Gear Shaft due to the (502)
Input Internal Gear Retainer Ring being dis-lodged on transmission assemblies built at the Romulus Assembly Plant
between Julian dates 24158 thru 24249. See SI Doc ID# 4356498.
Correction:
Perform an internal trans inspection to determine if the R2S3 retaining ring is dislodged (Item #502) to replace the retainer if
found dis-lodged.
Item # 502 using SI# 4356498.
** Applies to replacement transmission assemblies if within the Julian Dates listed.**
** Note** Refer to the latest version of TSB 25-NA-014 or RPOs MI2, MQB, & MHT for vehicle typically above 2750 miles.
